Visual Description
Inspired by the early 20th Century steampunk atmosphere and crazy inventions born during the industrial revolution — Monowheel by Ugears is an inventor’s fantasy that became a reality.
Made from a real blueprints of a Monowheel steam-powered vehicle — the model inspires your imagination and promotes a few different ways of functionality.
The steampunk “skeleton” design sports a lot of see-through sections that make the mechanism in work fully visible.
The mechanism itself imitates a steam engine with pistons moving back and forth propelling the Monowheel forward.
Although it looks squishy the model itself can take a hit or two as it is designed to be used outside, cover and stumble upon various obstacles.
Main Features
The Monowheel has two moving modes that change the way it is propelled.
The first mode with the two auxiliary wheels locked in place grants the uninterrupted straight movement for about 2 meters.
The second mode with the small wheels unlocked is even more fun. When the rubber-band mechanism runs out — the wheels will hide inside the monowheel and it will start spinning by itself propelling on the sheer power of physics. That way it can cover at least 5 meters distance and beyond (especially if you launch it downhill).

Conclusion
Monowheel is certainly one of the most unique models that Ugears has to offer. There are a lot of ways to play with it: Monowheel Bowling, Monowheel Duels and Monowheel races to name the few (you can thank us later for these ideas).
