Visual Description
We came across Amy&Benton recently when trying to discover something new and interesting puzzle world and I immediately liked the idea of assembling a real clock.
We already made reviews about some complex 3D Puzzle that also utilise LED Lights, battery-powered mechanisms and even music boxes (like ROKR Orpheus Steampunk Music Box), but all those 3D Wooden Puzzles are quite complex and take a lot of time to assemble — that might scare someone who is only entering the amazing world of puzzles and is seeking for something easy to do.
The Tower Desk Clock is certainly something that such beginner can try.
It consists of only 47 parts and does not have any kind of complex assembly parts — very easy to do with your kids and family.
The quality of the wood pleasantly surprised me — especially that it is not the usual and average plywood by stylized dark brown wood that further increases the feel of aesthetic pleasure when the puzzle is fully assembled.
Main Features
The clocks’ appearance is quite interesting. It is a standing clock with exquisite design. The dial is protected by the glass shield and the clock face is adorned by baroque styled arrows with roman numbers depicting the time.
The body is encasing the battery unit and is also adorned with symmetric nature based carvings.
Unlike some 3D Wooden Puzzles — this one has parts that have to be glued together.
Other than that — it is just a clock that tells time. But it is your clock, that you have assembled by yourself in a matter of minutes. Isn’t it amazing?
Conclusion
Peculiar model and definitely a nice approach to 3D Wooden Puzzles that utilise battery units and other types of mechanisms. Definitely will be on lookout for this brand and see what else Amy & Benton can offer us in the future.
